    Thanks Denise. We don't get to see frogmouths too often but we hear them at night with their deep incessant "Oom...oom...oom". They are so hard to spot. They sit quite still for hours. They pick a largish branch and sit at an angle mimicking the stump of a weathered broken branch. The thing on the piece of string is the dangly bit of a bamboo wind chime.

    Oh wow!!!! I've only seen this most unusual bird in an aviary - Miami MetroZoo. So - I find this to be a very cool shot :)
